I want to apply for a Keystone Study Award, how can I do this?
Applications for our 2017 Awards and Scholarships are now closed. Applications for our 2018 Awards and Scholarships open in June 2017.

What criteria do I need to meet?
To apply for a Keystone Study Award you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, and currently
finishing your last year at school. Our students come from backgrounds where financial need could make it
difficult for them to attend University. Conditions can be found on the application form.
Key Sponsor Scholarships have different criteria and are targeted at students further in to their tertiary studies.

Why does Keystone Trust offer these scholarships?
Keystone Trust is dedicated to helping young people from financially disadvantaged background that want to take
up tertiary study and have a desire work in the property sector. We are committed to supporting these students
on their journey.
How much will I receive?
A Keystone Study Award is $5,000 per annum for three years of study. This award can be extended at the
discretion of the Trustees.
A Key Sponsor Scholarship is $5,000 for one year of study.

What is mentoring?
Our awards and scholarship come with mentoring and networking opportunities. This is a very important part of
being a Keystone recipient. Each of our students will have the opportunity to be mentored via our sponsor
partners. Mentoring involves having someone to learn from to get a good understanding of this sector. Mentors
will guide you and help you connect your academic learning with where this fits into the industry.
When will I hear if my application is successful?
If your initial application is successful you will be invited to an interview with a selection committee. From this
group final recipients are selected. Successful recipients will be announced at our awards function in November.
Payments are made in two instalments at the beginning of the first and second semesters.
Is there a place where Keystone students can keep in touch with each other and update everyone on their progress?
We have a few ways you can do this. As a student you will get a profile page on our website. This page is only
viewable by your student’s peers, alumni and key sponsor and stakeholder companies. This page will be a great
way to share your success stories and keep a journal of your tertiary years.
